DIY: Thanksgiving Turkey Cups

TurkeyCupsCraftFinale

I decided to make a fun Thanksgiving craft since the egg carton bats and ghost leaves were such a hit during Halloween with my kiddos. This time I’m making turkeys. I used googly eyes again just like I did for the egg carton bats. I’ve also used it to make some adorable Easter bunnies. I think googly eyes make craft animals look cuter.

The materials used for these turkey cups were clear cups, googly eyes, fall colored paper, pencil, scissors, glue stick and glue dots. I also used food to fill the cups. One cup has chocolate milk, one has chocolate pudding, and the other has chocolate candy (Whoppers).

Do you sense a chocolate theme? 😉

Want to know how to make these Thanksgiving Turkey cups?! Here’s the tutorial?

I cut out some feathers from fall colored cardstock paper. I then cut out brown circles using a circle puncher and cut out some beaks and wattles.

I glued the paper feathers together first. I then made the turkey’s face by gluing the googly eyes, beak and wattle on a brown circle.

I glued the feathers onto the cup. If you look closely at the cup, you can see I used two glue dots which worked great. Lastly, I adhered the turkey’s head on the front of the cup by also using a glue dot.

These turkey cups would be fun as a Thanksgiving craft activity, a drink cup for the kids or a snack cup.
